Olivia Palermo's charity sandals line for summer 2013 has been revealed.
The reality TV star-turned-designer is an ambassador for The Maasai Project, which provides work for African tribeswomen.
For the latest initiative of the Pikolinos Maasai Project, Olivia visited Kenya to see how the Maasai women use their traditional craftsmanship to transform leather sent from Spain into shoes.
"This wonderful development project is changing the lives of these women. By bringing together a Spanish footwear company and an international cooperation the result is ethnic designs with lots of love behind them -- incredible!" Olivia gushed in an official video (check it out below).
"Once I saw the excitement on these women's faces, I felt the need to be part of the project. These aren't just sandals, they're the essence of Africa."
The summer 2013 sandal line contains unique beaded sandals and brightly coloured tribal designs. Olivia explains more about how the delicate footwear is crafted and what she learnt from her trip.
"It's amazing... to send these leather pieces from Spain to a small corner of Africa so that these women can work and decorate the pieces with traditional coloured balls in homes with their families. To see their faces when they received their first pay cheque," she continued.
