Barbie Gets A Stephen Jones Holiday Makeover
The mini fashion icon has just been given a special holiday makeover from master milliner, Stephen Jones, and the new look is set to launch at London's Selfridge's Toy Shop on Friday. Jones created five limited edition couture looks for the doll: Happy Holly, Toffee Ice, Santa Baby, Snow Globe, and Christmas Tree. The ensembles range from glittery gowns, velvet minis, and tulle capes, to a light-up tree hat and antler headpiece (we think Gaga would approve).
Jones isn't the first designer to dress Barbie though; the icon has a closet full of designer duds. Past designers and brands include Burberry, Chanel, Versace, and Christian Louboutin, who slipped Barbie's legs into those infamous thigh-high, magenta fringed boots.
The dolls are priced at a whopping 250 British pounds, or around $399 each, and will be available November 15 at Selfridges. And even though we may not be able to fly to London to get our hands on the one-of-a-kind dolls, we know they'll be showing up on Ebay in no time.
